One of my most memorable transactions was with out-of-state buyers who were purchasing a home for an ill relative and her two children. My clients lived too far away to tour the home in person, so I drove to the property to take additional photos and to do a live video tour for them. I turned on faucets, lights, ceiling fans, stove burners, tested the thermostat, flushed toilets, ran water to gauge water pressure, etc., so my clients would feel more comfortable with their sight-unseen purchase.
These clients were only a few short years from retirement and had to take the funds from their 401K. Even though they knew they would need the funds themselves, they cared more about ensuring the comfort of their sick relative and her children than they did about their own future needs. The smiles on all their faces on closing day was priceless. I felt so blessed to have had the opportunity to witness this level of love and generosity.
