"This property was no longer listed with the Agent I had previously engaged and was FSBO so I had two options when my client decided to buy. One, I could have gone straight to the Owner or two, go back to the Agent I had engaged before. I decided to go back to the Agent I had engaged before because it is the right thing to do. Marketing listings is not cheap and Owners are sometimes hard to appease which is why I went back to the Agent. I can only hope that in the future I am treated in the same manner. Real estate is FL #1 economy and there is plenty of commission $$ to go around and I would rather split a commission and cement a new relationship than do something that is technically legal but kind of shady."
