In 2012 I was contacted about a national register historic property which was being condemned by the county for rental code violations. It was being listed for sale by an agent with no experience in historic properties and she nicely referred several potential buyers who had inquired by phone. We established a Buyer Agency agreement with one couple and fought two months to remove the condemnation, while also getting approval for a huge renovation loan, and despite title issues due to an Estate, and a long-ago paid, but not released mortgage loan, the Title was eventually cleared and the couple took title and began renovations which lasted for more than six months. It was not the normal sale of an historic property, but it shows the length and depth that is sometimes involved with moving a property along into it's second, third or fourth century in the Eastern USA. We love challenges, and we love to create Win-Win transactions !
